About Spencer

Spencer works with adults, adolescents, and teens who may be navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, neurodivergence, identity, or difficult life experiences.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, Spencer spent several years working directly with autistic and neurodivergent children and youth. This experience helped shape his calm, patient, and individualized approach to supporting people whose needs, experiences, or ways of navigating the world may not always fit conventional expectations.

In therapy, Spencer focuses on meeting clients where they are and helping them make concrete, gradual changes toward the life they want to build. He draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and trauma-informed approaches, adapting therapy to the individual rather than expecting the individual to fit a particular approach.

Spencer is particularly passionate about supporting people who have experienced trauma and creating a therapeutic environment where clients can explore difficult experiences without shame or judgment. As a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, Spencer also brings lived experience to his commitment to providing inclusive and affirming care.
